This fault code indicates that the electrical circuit responsible for the engine shutdown output is improperly receiving positive voltage. This condition is likely caused by a short circuit in the wiring harness, a faulty fuel shut-off relay, or an internal failure within the electronic instrument cluster.

   Ensure the tractor's battery is fully charged and in good condition, as weak batteries or voltage fluctuations can trigger false EIC errors

   Check for faulty or corroded connectors at the instrument cluster and the fuel shut-off relay

   Locate and test the Fuel Shut Off Relay (KF) to see if it is stuck closed or internally shorted

   Use a digital multimeter to test the engine shutdown harness for continuity and verify if the wire is shorting to a positive voltage source

   Disconnect battery

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical surges.

   Test and replace relay

   Locate the Fuel Shut Off Relay (KF) in the fuse/relay panel. Remove the relay and test it. If it is faulty, replace it.

   Inspect and repair wiring harness

   If the relay is functioning correctly, trace the wiring harness from the relay to the Electronic Instrument Cluster and the engine shutdown solenoid. Inspect for chafed wires that may be shorting to a 12V power source. Repair any damaged wiring.

   Repair or replace instrument cluster

   If the relay, connectors, and harness all test good, the failure mode points to a faulty instrument cluster sending erratic voltage. The cluster will need to be repaired or replaced.

   Clear codes and test

   Once the root cause is rectified, reconnect the battery, clear the error code from the EIC memory, and test the tractor for normal operation.
