This PTO shaft end is the splined coupling that connects the tractor's power take-off driveline to the implement's input shaft. It transmits rotational torque from the tractor's PTO stub shaft to the implement's universal joint or driveline. A worn or damaged shaft end causes spline slop, which leads to vibration, accelerated wear on the mating coupler, and potential driveline failure. This replacement component is machined to the original spline profile and length, so it engages the PTO shaft's internal splines without excessive backlash and does not require shimming or modification for installation. On reinstall, ensure the retaining pin or bolt is torqued to specification and that the shaft end is fully seated before engaging the PTO.
