Iveco 07 – ECAS (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension) Control Unit: Error in calibration parameters of pressure sensors in memory

The control unit has detected missing, corrupted, or implausible calibration values for the pneumatic pressure sensors within its internal memory. Without accurate calibration parameters, the system cannot correctly determine the air pressure in the suspension bellows, which disables or limits automatic leveling functions.

   Perform a diagnostic scan using a compatible tool (such as Iveco IT2000, EASY, or WABCO diagnostic software) to read the exact fault memory and live parameter values

   Check the system supply pressure to ensure the system is receiving adequate air supply

   Inspect the pressure sensor signals via the CAN line or direct wiring harness for open circuits, shorts to ground, or shorts to power

   Perform a mechanical inspection to verify that the vehicle body is not severely tilted due to bent sensor linkages, distorted stabilizer linkages, or slipped rubber mounts

   Attempt Recalibration

   Connect a diagnostic PC/notebook and initiate the ECAS system start-up and calibration procedure.

   Calibrate Pressure Sensors

   Follow the software prompts to perform a manual pressure sensor calibration.

   Replace Defective Sensor

   If the diagnostic software indicates the pressure sensor is defective or if it refuses to accept the calibration, the sensor must be replaced.

   Depressurize and Swap

   Safely depressurize the relevant air suspension circuit. Disconnect the electrical connector and pneumatic fitting from the faulty pressure sensor, and install the new sensor.

   Re-calibrate

   After installing a new sensor, you must use the diagnostic equipment to recalibrate the vehicle's ECAS system so the new sensor's parameters are stored in the ECU memory.

   Clear and Test

   Clear the fault codes from the ECAS memory and test the suspension by raising and lowering the vehicle to ensure it levels correctly.
