The electronic controller is receiving a voltage signal from the hitch drop rate control potentiometer (the knob that adjusts how fast the 3-point hitch lowers) that is below the acceptable operating range. This condition is typically caused by an open circuit in the wiring harness, a short circuit to ground in the wiring, or a completely failed or internally shorted drop rate control potentiometer.

Verifica la causa
Visual Inspection: Inspect the drop rate control knob on the EDC control panel (usually located on the right-hand armrest or side console) for physical damage.
Harness Check (Open Circuit): Disconnect the potentiometer and the EHR/Armrest controller. Check the continuity of the signal wire, the 5V/12V reference wire, and the ground wire. Wiggle the harness during testing to check for intermittent breaks.
Harness Check (Short to Ground): Check for continuity between the signal wire and the tractor chassis ground. If continuity exists, the wire is shorted and the harness must be repaired.
Voltage Check: Turn the key ON. Check the reference voltage pin at the potentiometer connector to ensure the controller is sending the proper reference voltage (typically 5V or 12V depending on the model).
Potentiometer Sweep Test: Using a multimeter set to Ohms, probe the potentiometer's signal and ground pins. Slowly turn the drop rate knob from the transport lock (padlock symbol) to the fastest drop setting (hare symbol). The resistance should change smoothly. If it reads infinite (open) or zero (shorted) throughout the sweep, the potentiometer is dead.

Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical spikes.
Access the EDC Panel
Remove the retaining screws for the armrest control console or the side-console EDC panel to access the underside of the hitch control knobs.
Remove the Faulty Potentiometer
Disconnect the 3-pin wiring harness connector from the drop rate potentiometer. Pull off the plastic knob from the top of the panel, and remove the retaining nut holding the potentiometer in place.
Install the New Part
Insert the new potentiometer through the panel, secure it with the retaining nut, and press the knob back onto the splined/D-shaped shaft.
Reconnect Wiring
Plug the 3-pin harness connector into the new potentiometer.
Reassemble
Carefully reinstall the EDC control panel/armrest cover, ensuring no wires are pinched.
Calibrate
Reconnect the battery. Turn the key ON. Clear the stored fault codes. Depending on the tractor model (e.g., MXM or Puma), you may need to enter the H-Menu to perform a hitch potentiometer calibration so the EHR controller learns the new minimum and maximum voltage values.
