1067-02 - ITBV

Case IH 1067-02 - ITBV – ITBV:

Si applica a queste macchine

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect

Verifica la causa

  1. Verify that the brake pedal moves freely and returns completely to its resting position. A sticking pedal can cause implausible sensor readings.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness leading to Brake Signal Sensor 1 (usually located on the firewall, near the brake valve, or on the ITBV manifold). Look for chafed wires, corrosion in the connector pins, or loose grounds.

  3. Using a multimeter, verify that the sensor is receiving the correct reference voltage (typically 5V) and has a solid ground.

  4. Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) or a compatible diagnostic scanner. Monitor the live data for Brake Signal Sensor 1. Slowly depress and release the brake pedal; the pressure/voltage reading should rise and fall smoothly. If the reading jumps erratically or drops to zero mid-stroke, the sensor is internally faulty.

  5. Ensure there are no leaks in the trailer brake valve circuit that could cause erratic pressure fluctuations.

Passaggi di riparazione

  1. Depressurize the system

Park the tractor on a flat surface, chock the wheels, and pump the brake pedal several times with the engine off to relieve any residual hydraulic or pneumatic pressure in the braking circuit.

  2. Locate the sensor

Locate Brake Signal Sensor 1 on the ITBV manifold block or the primary brake valve assembly.

  3. Disconnect the harness

Carefully unplug the electrical connector from the sensor.

  4. Remove the sensor

Using an appropriate wrench, unthread the faulty pressure transducer. Have a shop rag ready to catch any minor fluid drips (if hydraulic) or air release (if pneumatic).

  5. Install the new sensor

Thread the new sensor into the port by hand to prevent cross-threading, then tighten to the OEM torque specification.

  6. Reconnect the harness

Plug the electrical connector back in, ensuring the weather seal clicks into place.

  7. Bleed the system

If the sensor is on a hydraulic circuit, bleed the brake lines according to the service manual to remove any introduced air.

  8. Calibrate the sensor

Connect the CNH EST diagnostic tool. Clear the inactive 1067-02 fault code and perform a Static Sensor Calibration procedure. The ITBV system will often not recognize the new sensor properly until this software calibration is completed.

  9. Test operation

Start the tractor, apply the brakes, and verify that the trailer brake controller functions normally without triggering the fault code.

Ricambi che potrebbero servirti

(1)
  • Service Brake Pressure Sensor / Brake Signal Transducer (Sensor 1)

Manufactured by Bendix or Danfoss. Must match to specific VIN/Serial Number of the tractor. Using an aftermarket or incorrect pressure transducer will cause the calibration to fail.
